While I am not especially happy with Rudy Giuliani and Thomas Van Essen being pictured here in a photo montage of WTC survivors, mourners, and victims, I feel that the sentiments and ideas in the video far outweigh that one flaw.


Also, note that sampled news footage makes reference to "explosions" in the towers. I personally wonder if there was any sort of conscious message regarding the nature of the attack on the part of Mr. Waters.


However, the primary reason I am posting this here is the footage of the Union Square vigil of that week, as well as several other vigils and memorials around the world at the time. This serves as both an inspiration in that it shows the strength of the unity, love, and peace that the 9/11 attacks fostered in Americans and in upstanding citizens worldwide; and also as a reminder that this display of humanity's best traits was in reaction to lies told about a mass murder in order to start multiple wars. It is a reminder that all of this positivity, caring, and trust was exploited by the Bush administration in the name of theft, torture, and murder for profit.
